Is my heating inefficient?
We want to continuously ensure that the heating systems in our homes are running as efficiently as possible. If you feel that your heating system is not running efficiently or to its full potential, we can arrange for an inspection to be carried out. Please contact us if you'd like to arrange an inspection of your heating system. Or you can report a repair to your heating online by logging into your account.
Here is what will happen next:
An appointment will be arranged for an electrical or gas surveyor to inspect your heating system. This inspection may be carried out by one of our contractors. They will carry out all necessary tests to see whether your system is running as efficiently as possible.
Following the inspection, the results found will be passed to us.
-
If the inspection finds the heating system is adequate and has 3+ years life left…
We will advise that the heating system is working efficiently and to its potential and a replacement won’t be considered until this time has elapsed.
-
If the inspection finds that the heating system is adequate but repairs are needed…
These will be sent to our gas servicing contractor if you have a gas fired system or to our day to day repairs team if you have an electrical heating system to arrange an appointment with you.
-
If the inspection finds the heating system is adequate but less than 3 years life left…
The results of the inspection will be passed to our ‘Investment Planning Team’. This team will then assess the priority of the works needed and add this to the forthcoming programme.
-
If the inspection finds the heating system is in need of a renewal or replacement…
The results of the inspection will be passed to our ‘Investment Planning Team’. They will then assess the priority of works needed. This team plans out every year which areas are due to have upgrades in their property (i.e. bathrooms and kitchens).
This team will then check our records and advise whether there is room to include your property in the programme for the current financial year (between April-March) or if not, it will be added to the following year's programme and repairs will be carried out until works are due to begin.
