A new creative art workshop has been launched just for Bromford customers in Filton by South Brooks Community Partnerships, to allow them to explore their artistic side, develop new skills and improve their wellbeing. Each week will feature a new art activity or craft or project and attendees are welcome to suggest topics for future weeks, or to bring their own art project to work on it alongside others.

Support worker Alicia Canteli said: “My idea is around encouraging people to make art and crafts to improve their wellbeing. All of the sessions will have an element of wellness and mindfulness as well, but really it’s a chance for people to express themselves creatively every week and get to know other people.

“You don’t have to book, you don’t have to bring anything, just turn up and get creative.”

Bromford locality manager Nick Van Tinteren added: “It’s well known that taking time to get creative through arts and crafts can support health and wellbeing and that can change people’s lives. These sessions are a great chance for customers to get creative and develop their artistic skills.”

The sessions run every Tuesday from 10.30am at the Wellbeing HQ, Church View, Filton, Bristol. All materials will be provided, including refreshments. For more details contact Alicia on 07989 351530.
