After retaining our status as one of Homes England’s strategic partners earlier last month, our homebuilding aspirations have received another boost.

We’ve had confirmation that we’ve been successful in becoming a member of the Homes England Dynamic Purchasing System. The system is used by the government agency and other landowning public authorities to dispose of land for residential development. Over the years ahead the DPS is expected to deliver up to £20bn of residential development.

Partnerships director Clare Crawford said: “It’s been a great couple of weeks for partnership working with Homes England. After being awarded £240m to build 4,000 new homes, we now have been given greater access to buy public land on which to build those homes.

“Becoming a member of the panel at the earliest opportunity offers another avenue for us to acquire land on which we can build quality, affordable homes across the West Midlands and South West.”

A total of 66 companies have been onto the system in the first round and we are one of six housing associations. l. The system is split into small sites, for up to 70 homes, and large sites for more than 70 homes, and we’ve been accepted on to both.
