We’ve agreed a multi-million pound deal to secure our biggest-ever land purchase of a site in Gloucestershire.

Now we’re looking to secure planning permission for 110 new homes on the 16.8-acre site on the outskirts of Winchcombe.

Senior land manager Nathan Deen said: “We’re thrilled to have acquired this piece of land, which will provide quality new homes for a range of customers. Winchcombe is an increasingly sought-after place to live, so these homes will make a significant contribution to meeting this demand.

“This is undoubtedly due to its setting in the heart of the Cotswolds and we are very conscious of the need to design homes that will be sympathetic to the character of the local area. As well as the new homes we’re also proposing a landscape led approach to the development, which will include a significant amount of open space and natural play. The site is within close proximity of all the amenities in the centre of the attractive market town in the Cotswolds and is just a short drive away from Cheltenham and Tewkesbury. We have been consulting with local residents and will be aiming to submit a planning application to Tewkesbury Borough Council next month.

“This is the biggest site we have ever purchased and forms part of our strategy of buying more larger land led sites, delivering a range of tenures, in order to achieve our strategic aims.”
Bromford are looking forward to continuing to work with the Local Planning Authority and Local Community to achieve a positive decision and anticipate that works would commence on site in 2022 with construction undertaken by our in-house construction team; Bromford Developments Ltd.

In the period 2019 – 2023 Bromford aims to build 6,500 new homes as part of their development programme.
