Have you ever had an idea for a community project but couldn't afford to get it off the ground? YouCan offers grants of up to £300 to help you bring your exciting ideas to life.

Whether it's to help bring your neighbourhood together through community events, breathing new life into a community garden, setting up a small business that's beneficial to your neighbours or offering much needed help and advice to people in your area, YouCan could help.

Here are a few of the things that some of the successful applicants have said about YouCan:

We wouldn't be able to put these events on without the grant.
The funding has helped people to learn new skills.
The grant was so helpful, and making the most of the outside space has really helped my mental health.
The online application process was really easy.
If you think you have an idea for a project that could help the community I’d suggest you apply for the grant to help get your ideas off the ground.

Take a look at the video below to get an idea of the kind of things people are getting involved in.

The application process couldn’t be easier. Just fill in your personal details, let us know what your project is all about, how you heard about YouCan, how much you’re applying for, and how you plan to spend the grant. Once you’ve sent off the form, YouCan will let you know their decision within four weeks and, if successful you’ll receive the grant around ten working days after you return the offer letter.

If you've been inspired to start your own community project, or have been looking for a way to get your idea off the ground, please head over to the YouCan website where you can find out more.
