Your gas service is changing

The way we will be delivering gas repairs and servicing to your home is changing for some of you.
Our 5 year contract with PH Jones expires on 31st March 2015.
So we have taken a fresh look at how the contracts are delivered to see how the service can be improved. We have split the area covered by PH Jones into two, North West and North East.
From April, gas servicing and repairs for Staffordshire and the West Midlands will be delivered by either J Tomlinson or Liberty Gas.
J Tomlinson’s already provide repairs and gas servicing for some of our homes in the West Midlands. Liberty Gas have now joined the Bromford family after a rigorous tender process.
See below to see who your new gas contractor is:
Liberty - Dudley, Powys, Sandwell, Shropshire, Walsall, Telford, Wolverhampton and South Staffs.
J Tomlinson's - Cannock, Coventry, Erewash, Lichfield, Newcastle under Lyme, Nuneaton and Bedworth, Rugby, Staffs Moorlands, Stoke, North Warwickshire DC and Tamworth.
You may have some questions so we’ve put together this FAQ:
Will this change how I report repairs?
No. How you can contact us and the way we work will not change.
What happens if I’m waiting for a repair to be completed?
Any repairs which are outstanding after the 31st March will be passed over to either J Tomlinson’s or Liberty Gas. We will be monitoring any outstanding work closely.
Both contractors may want to carry out their own assessment of the repair. This may mean that they will book in an appointment to take another look.
Will I still receive an annual gas service?
Of course. Either J Tomlinson’s or Liberty Gas will do this for you. You will receive a letter to book in an appointment with both the contractor and our name displayed.
How can I help?
- If you have an annual gas service booked in, make sure you have money on your meters.
- If you don’t have gas in your property but you have an appointment booked in, our engineers will still need to check your smoke alarms.
This will help our engineers to complete your service, avoid any delays and keep your home safe.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
