Street view of some of the award-winning new homes at Quercus Road, TetburyA new housing development in Tetbury has been named the best in the Cotswolds.

Our development of 30 new homes at Quercus Road in Tetbury scooped the top Local Building Excellence Award 2023 as well as the Best Social Housing project award at Cotswold District Council’s Local Building Excellence Awards earlier in the month. The development, which were completed in spring 2022, was one of hundreds of projects that were assessed by the council’s building control team during 2022. The awards are designed to recognise exemplary projects delivering high-quality housing, building and civil engineering projects in the Cotswold District.

The awards were presented to project manager Abby Ranger and development director Amanda Swann, along with colleagues from our construction partners EG Carter, at the council’s Cirencester offices.

Amanda said: “It’s amazing that we’ve won this award. The dedication and quality of work that goes into creating these houses for us at Bromford, it’s second to none and we’re really pleased that that’s been recognised by the council.”

Cllr Juliet Layton, Cabinet Member for Development Management and Licensing, said: “I’m thrilled to be able to acknowledge the incredibly hard work that has gone into so many innovative projects from around the Cotswolds.

“The quality of design and workmanship that is on display from construction teams and other partners is outstanding. The Local Building Excellence Awards winners will now be nominated for the regional LABC Building Excellence Awards 2023 and we wish them the best of luck.”
