Views of Holyguest Road flats communal area before and after the work took placeThe first in a series of landscaping projects to improve the appearance of some of our flats in South Gloucestershire has been completed.

Work to improve the communal outdoor space at Hollyguest House in Hanham began earlier in the year but was put on hold due to the coronavirus lockdown. We’ve invested £190,000 to transform the outdoor space at the block of flats to add new paving, lawn and plants and trees, as well as replacing customers’ old storage sheds with modern timber and steel ones with living green roofs.

Project manager John Potter said: “The work at Hollyguest has been a pilot and will influence the improvements we make to the outside space at other blocks of flats. It has completely transformed the area and all the customers I’ve spoken to have been full of praise for the much needed make over.

“Although it’s taken a little longer to complete due to the lockdown earlier in the year, we’re really pleased with the finished appearance and believe that providing customers with an attractive communal space will allow them to thrive.”
