After four years of helping more than 5000 customers create amazing CVs online, we’ve taken the decision to close Connect, our social network for jobs, volunteering and local opportunities.

It’s been a difficult decision to make, but we feel the current system doesn’t support our aim of having a more face-to-face relationship with our customers. We think Connect has done a fantastic job in supporting our customers, and some of the features will be carried over into our website in the future, but we’ve decided it’s time to turn the site off.

Skills coach manager Elaine Browne said, “While it’s sad to say goodbye to Connect. We’ll still have our team of skills coaches, on hand to meet our customers face-to-face and support them with their job searches. They’re available to help point customers in the right direction when it comes to employment, training and volunteering, and are always available to provide advice on getting work ready.

“We’ve been inspired by so many success stories from our customers using Connect, so we’ll be looking at ways in which we can enhance the My Account area of our Bromford website to give customers the same level of support online.”

All users of Connect should have received an email informing them of the closure with further details on what to do next, as the platform will not be accessible after 31 October 2016.

If you have a Connect account and you have information stored on the site - for example, copies of CVs and skills assessments - you will be able to log-in to download your files until 31 October.
