We plan to regenerate a small number of our homes on Cedar Road. These homes are Airey houses and are made of concrete non-traditional construction (non-traditionally built properties means that they are not made with a conventional brick or timber frame structure). Some of these types of properties have a poor energy efficiency rating which typically results in them being extremely expensive to heat. We submitted our plans to regenerate the properties in autumn 2023 following consultation events with local residents earlier in the year.
As we have four homes in such close proximity to each other, this presents a real opportunity for us to invest in the area and we are considering how we can regenerate the site, possibly by replacing them with modern, energy-efficient homes which are affordable for our customers to live in and run.
