Watch out for open windows. Always use window restrictors where fitted, never leave windows wide open and unattended, and remember to close windows when you go out. Read our summer safety advice.

Your thermostat sends instructions to your air source heat pump, telling it how much heat your home needs. It doesn’t deliver instant heat like a gas boiler - your heat pump increases warmth gradually for better efficiency.

How to use your thermostat

  • press the three‑line button in the middle of the device.
  • use the scroll bar on the right to adjust the temperature.
  • press the three‑line button again to confirm your change.
  • you can also set schedules for heating and hot water.
  • if the room is already warmer than the desired temperature, the heating will not turn on.

Useful information

  • your heating should be left ON at a range of 18–24°C
  • the recommended setting is 21°C, which supports efficient running
  • keeping your home at a steady temperature works best — heat pumps don’t provide rapid boosts like gas boilers
  • turning your heating off completely makes it slower and harder to warm up again
  • in summer you can turn the heating right down, but keep hot water on
  • the thermostat tells the heat pump how much heat is needed
  • small temperature changes respond more effectively
  • large jumps (e.g., 18°C → 24°C) take much longer — up to 24 hours
  • once adjusted, the system maintains a consistent temperature automatically
  • press the three‑line menu button to access help topics
  • faults will appear as messages on your control panel
  • when reporting an issue, always provide the fault message shown on screen
  • located on an outside wall.
  • if it senses temperatures around 30°C or above, heating will not turn on.
  • this is normal for heat pump systems.
  • do not open or attempt to service the thermostat.
  • follow the user manual for advanced settings if needed.
