Help us provide fair and inclusive services for everyone

We're committed to providing fair, accessible and inclusive services for everyone in our homes. To do that well, we need to understand who our customers really are and whether they face barriers that others don’t. And if you've had an email or call from us asking you to update your information, it's because we're missing some important information about you.

Sometimes called ‘enhanced’, ‘equality’ or ‘diversity’ data, this extra level of detail can help us spot gaps, improve how we communicate and make sure our services work for everyone.

Below, we've shared some questions and answers that will explain a bit more about what we're doing!

We're improving the quality of the information we hold so we can:

  • better understand our customers
  • provide accessible and inclusive services
  • improve service delivery
  • identify where additional support may be required
  • meet our legal and regulatory responsibilities

At the moment, we're focussing only lead and joint tenants (where applicable), not all household members. And of them, we're only approaching customers where we know we have missing data.

If you'd prefer not to, you don't have to. Or, if you'd like to answer some but not all of the questions, you can choose 'prefer not to say' where available.

Any answers you provide as part of this survey will be stored securely, in the same way we store all other customer data. We will only use it for legitimate business purposes in accordance with UK GDPR and our Privacy Notice.

We collect this information to better understand our customer population, monitor equality of access to our services and help ensure we provide fair and inclusive services.

Providing this information is entirely optional.

Yes! That's not a problem at all. Our Customer Services team can update your information during any call.

We may occasionally ask you to confirm that the information we hold remains accurate, in case your situation has changed.

Get in touch

We understand you might be unsure about providing all, or some, of the information we've asked for. So if you'd like to talk it through with us over the phone instead, or arrange for someone to visit you in person, don't hesitate to get in touch.

Rest assured, any information you provide will be stored safely and respectfully in line with GDPR and our Privacy Notice.

The information we receive shines a light on the diversity of the people living in our homes, and helps us make sure everyone can access the support they need.
