Overview of responsibilities
Hi I'm Damon! My current role is repairs manager for the Staffordshire area.
My role is all about leading a team of multi-skilled engineers, handling the diaries, and dealing with contractors and complaints. It’s a case of trying to make sure everything runs smoothly.
How has your career progressed?
I joined Bromford in 2016, starting with the voids team, handling empty homes for three years and mentoring an apprentice, which was a great opportunity for me.
I then moved to the Repairs Team, working in customers' homes, which suited me better.
After about five years, I became a Lead Engineer, focusing on safety audits and daily tasks. Finally, in January 2024, I stepped into the role of Repairs Manager and I’m really enjoying it. It's exciting to see how much room for progression there is at Bromford.
What do you consider the most significant benefit of working for Bromford?
A big one is definitely the job security, we continuously grow our own talent.
