How to re-attach a kitchen drawer in your home

When your kitchen drawers come lose, the front can often feel as if it may fall off leaving you worried. Re-attaching your drawer front is easy and just requires you to tighten a few screws (dependent on what kitchen you have!). Make your drawers as good as new by following our informative how-to video.

“I’m here today to show you how to tighten up one of your drawer fronts on your kitchen drawers. If it’s loose, like this, what you need to do, the easiest way, is to take the drawer out. So we’ve got to make sure the drawer is empty, pull it out like so, and just tilt it up and the drawer will come out.”

“Your drawer front is usually attached to your drawer with a couple of screws just on the outside of the drawer there. You’ll need to tighten these up using a screwdriver. Just turn these clockwise, like so. Do this on both sides. Your drawer front should be nice and secure now.”

“Then what we need to do is put the drawer back in. Just slot the runners back in, tilt it up and the drawer should go straight back in. If, however, you tighten those screws up and the drawer front is still loose, you may need to ring us to come out and carry out a repair.”
