A series of breathtaking photographs have been released capturing progress on Bromford’s multi-million pound retirement living scheme in Banbury.

Taken from the top of the 115ft on-site crane, the panoramic images show our in-house construction team making headway on the new £12m Park Gardens development on Bath Road. We are building a total of 78 retirement living homes for over 55s on land previously belonging to Banbury and Bicester College.

The birds eye view captures a significant stage of the development with the first timber roof trusses being erected at the northern end of the site, which borders on to People’s Park in the centre of the town. The first roof tiles are expected to be fitted by the end of October with a view to the Sales and Marketing suite and show apartments opening towards the end of the year.

Park Gardens will feature a range of one and two bedroom apartments with options for rent or purchase. Along with a café bar, lounge, activity studio, gym and hair and beauty salon, the four-storey building will provide residents with a safe, secure and happy home environment and it is expected that the first residents will move in early 2019.

Sales and marketing director Penny Downing said: “We are moving forward with the sales and marketing area of the site really well and achieving our key milestones at this stage in the development. It is always a significant moment when the roof begins to rise from the ground and these panoramic photographs give a truly unique perspective of the ongoing work.

“Once opened, Park Gardens will offer residents a state-of-the-art, long-term home within a vibrant and lively community for residents and the wider community to enjoy.”

The adjacent college, which is part of Activate Learning, made the land available to Bromford after relocating its media and motor vehicle facilities to a new, £6m centre, on the opposite side of Broughton Road more than three years ago.
