The word community is derived from the Latin word “communitas” which means “things held in common”.

But, as society changes, are we starting to lose our sense of community? What does the word mean to different people? And how can you get involved in your own community?

Whilst busy shoppers went about their day in Lichfield and Wolverhampton, we grabbed our trusty camera and stopped a host of people to gauge their opinions.
