Foodbank looks to support hundreds in Stratford-Upon-Avon

With an increased demand for emergency food across the Midlands, Bromford Support were forced to open a temporary foodbank in Startford-Upon-Avon in March 2011. As the need for this initiative grew, a project team led by the Trussel Trust took ownership of the Foodbank in January 2013, using Bromford as a referral agency. 

Since that point, the Stratford-Upon-Avon Foodbank has provided 3-day emergency ration packs to over 160 families, collecting over 3 tonnes of food from donation points at local supermarkets.

With the Foodbank now well into it's social aim, we visited a special launch event to find out more about how the Foodbank supports the local community.
