Bromford, one of Central England's largest affordable housing and specialist support providers, kicked off its 50th anniversary year celebrations on Tuesday (5th February), with the first of its four outstanding 'Future50' learning events.

Launching Bromford's first 'Future50' event of the series was one of the UK's leading visionary speakers and futurist David Smith, Chief Executive of Global Futures and Foresight, who gave an awe inspiring presentation on his global view of the key issues and developments of the near future.

Futurist, David Smith, stunned delegates with his predictions on technology developments, consumer trends, business models, global resources and the changing lives of people at home and in the workplace.  David's fascinating and fast paced presentation revealed that even though the rate of change in the last century had been the fastest we'd ever seen, things are moving relatively slowly compared to the rate of change that awaits us in the future and advised the events delegates to be ready.

Invited to the 'Future50' learning event were senior leading business partners from the banking, charity, legal and health sectors. As well as receiving the mind-blowing presentation, delegates were also given the opportunity to network, leaving the event with plenty of inspiration to generate new visions, strategies, products and services.

Leading futurist and guest speaker, David Smith, CEO of Global Futures and Foresight commented about the event: "Well done to Bromford for celebrating 50 years, but more importantly, that the business is also looking ahead 50 years and thinking about the future as well and engaging with outside partners."

Bromford has a programme of 'Future50' events planned to celebrate it's 50 years of changing lives and has invited some of the UK's leading visionary speakers to talk on subjects such as marketing, technology, business and global trends of the future. The next 'Future50' event features UK leading sales and marketing expert, Grant Leboff and will be held on 4th June 2013.
