Nic, a qualified chef, was unable to work the long hours he had been used to following the onset of osteo-arthritis.

He said: “It’s destroyed part of my personality and no work meant not being able to pay rent. Bromford gave me a chance and encouraged me and I now work one morning a week at a community café and I feel valued.”
