Have you ever had an idea but needed a little help to get it off the ground? You’re not alone, and that’s exactly why YouCan Foundation was founded.
If you have a volunteering or business idea, an education or community project that needs a little boost, you may be eligible for a YouCan grant of up to £300.
Take a look at some of the projects that have already benefitted from a YouCan Foundation grant here.
But where does the money come from?
Since its launch in 2011, over £23,000 has been raised thanks to the help of our business partners and colleagues with the biggest fundraising event being the annual BromGolf tournament.
Business partners and Bromford colleagues will descend on Birmingham’s Shirley Golf Club on Thursday 10th September for #BromGolf15. With around 19 teams entering the tournament we’re hoping to trump the previous fundraising total for the second year running.
Over £3,000 was raised for the Snowdonia Challenge in 2013 and last summer, colleagues and our business partners chipped in with a terrific £4,600.
As well as the tournament, there will also be a putting competition and a promise auction and raffle with lots of great prizes on offer towards the end of the day -and this year we’ll be match funding whatever is raised on the day making even more funding available for community projects.
As the action unfolds you can follow the day on Twitter using #BromGolf15 and we will be publishing news and photos after the event so watch this space...
