Did you enjoy your Easter eggs over the weekend? Are the children still asking for chocolate morning, noon and night?
Many of the young families that live in our supported accommodation struggle to manage their money. It’s important that they learn the basics of living independently to ensure that they, and their children have the best possible futures. With many on low incomes, they find it hard to give their children even the smallest of treats.
We have found that being part of the communities that we work in, local companies, farms, shops and partner agencies are more than happy to help out when it comes to putting a smile on the youngsters’ faces.
Thanks to the generosity of local shops, farms and agencies our young families have been able to take part in Easter egg hunts, have been treated to chocolate chicks and mini bunnies and they’ve even been visited by a few real life chicks, goats and lambs too.
We’d just like to say a big thank you to everybody who helped to make Easter a special time for all of the children and their parents who are living in our supported accommodation - your donations are really appreciated.
