<Sent to customers with a registered email address on 4 November>

Since the start of this pandemic we have all faced challenges, from the way we live our lives, the way we support our loved ones and, here at Bromford, how we can provide you with the services you expect. We have had to adapt the way we work over the past few months, and I’m proud of the way we’ve been able to continue to work with our customers and keep people safe in their homes. Now, we face a second national lockdown in England which will last from 5 November until 2 December 2020.

This will no doubt be another challenging and worrying time for you and your families. From our experiences from the first lockdown we know that we have some particularly vulnerable customers and so we will be contacting them over the days ahead to discuss what support we can offer them as we enter this next phase of the pandemic.

But we’re pleased to say that due to the measures we’ve already put in place, we will be able to continue to provide all of our key services to you throughout the coming month. Your neighbourhood coach will be available to you, although they will be carrying out most meetings virtually rather than in person. You can continue to contact us to report any issues with your home and our engineers will continue to carry out repairs over the month ahead. We will also be carrying out planned maintenance and safety checks in customers’ homes during the lockdown. We will continue to let and sell our homes and you will see work continuing on our building sites.

However, the government guidelines mean that restaurants, hairdressers and gyms at our retirement living schemes will have to close again during the lockdown, and some of our communal spaces will remain closed.

We continue to update the information on our coronavirus page with all the latest information as the situation changes, so please keep checking back. If you have any additional questions, queries or concerns remember to contact your neighbourhood coach, to find their details simply head over to our neighbourhood coach search and enter your postcode.

Please continue to stay safe by following the government’s advice on washing your hands regularly, covering your face where you need to do so, and maintain social distancing of two metres with other people.

Please remember that if one of our colleagues is due to visit your home and you or someone in your household develops symptoms, has tested positive for Covid, or has been advised to self-isolate, let us know by contacting our customer services team so we can rearrange your appointment.

I would like to thank you for all your support and patience since the outbreak began. We have really focussed on putting robust measures in place that allow us to safely continue to provide our services to you, keeping you, your family and our colleagues as safe as we can. I am sure that with everyone working together we will get through this and return to a position where the government can lift restrictions once again.

Many thanks and take care,

Paul
