The finishing touches have been made to our 600^th new home to be built this year, putting us on course to meet our end-of-year target to build 1,000 by the end of March.

Our 600^th new home was completed last month at in Emersons Green one of more than 100 completed across all of our current development sites in the Midlands and south west. Over the past seven months we’ve also completed 78 new homes at Park Gardens in Banbury, 44 at Graven Hill in Bicester and 28 at Pembridge Court in Clehonger.

As well as completing 600 homes so far this year, we have started work on many more, including 95 new homes in Burntwood, 46 homes at Springfield Road in Wolverhampton and the regeneration of two sites in Cirencester to provide 36 new homes. In addition to this, we also secured our largest ever partnership deal with Taylor Wimpey for 455 new homes to be built at Innsworth in Gloucestershire, which will be delivered in phases over the years ahead.

Development director Amanda Swann said: “I’m pleased that we’ve now completed 600 new homes so far this year, providing high quality, affordable homes to more than 1,000 people. It means we’re well on course to meet our target of building 1,000 new homes this year, which is another important step towards the ambitious goal that we set last year to build 14,000 homes by 2028.

“There are tens of thousands of people waiting for affordable housing across the Midlands and south west and we’re determined to play our part in helping reduce this number by building the new homes that are so desperately needed. And the creation of our £160m Bromford Construction Partnership with four construction companies will allow us to deliver hundreds of new homes across Gloucestershire and the West of England over the next decade.”

Earlier this year we were selected as one of Homes England’s strategic partners, providing us with £66m to invest in new social rented, affordable rented and shared ownership homes.
