BromGolf, Bromford’s largest fundraising event of the year, has raised an incredible £9,110 for YouCan, our fund to enable people bring ideas to life to help their communities.
For the first time this year, Bromford has match funded the £4,555 total raised by colleagues and business partners who gathered on Birmingham's Shirley Golf Club.
Richard Hicks, head of business improvement said: “I think that the success of this year’s event is due in no small part to the Shirley Golf Club. We hadn’t used this venue before, but they were prepared to allow full use of the whole course and club house for most the day and for a very modest fee. They also laid on some great refreshments for breakfast and lunch. I hope that we can build on our relationship with them and perhaps get them involved in YouCan as the funds raised are spent.” He continued: “We are also extremely grateful for the 18 teams from our business partner community who entered a team, several that made donations, and those that gifted promise items which we were able auction to raise funds.”
Every penny raised will help customers unlock their potential by giving them the opportunity to bid for grants of up to £300.
