“Hi, I’m here today to show you how your storage heater works, and how you can use it in your home most efficiently. Here’s what you need to know.”

“The storage heater works by storing cheap rate electricity, the night before you need to use it. It heats up a metal element, and the heat is stored in bricks that surround the element. During the day, you can then release the heat, from the bricks, to heat your home.”

“Your storage heater has two controls, an input and an output. Your input will control the amount of heat your storage heater will hold, and the output controls the amount of heat that comes out. As the winter gets colder, you’ll need to turn your input button up to a higher number. Your output button needs to be adjusted as low as possible, at the beginning of the day, and then as the day goes on you can turn it up. This regulates the amount of heat that is coming out. It’s important that at the end of every day you turn it back down to one for the start of a new day.”

“If you have a storage heater in a room that you’re not using - turn both dials down to one. This will help prevent mould and condensation.”

“If you find your storage heater is still not working, please give us a call on the number below and we’ll send out an engineer to have a look”
