Developing new homes
We are increasing the number of homes we build to 1,500 every year for rent, shared ownership and open market sale. We’re proud to have been the biggest developer of homes for social rent in England for the past two years. The homes we build are affordable and energy efficient and designed to meet the needs of our customers.
Over the course of the four years to 2027 our goal is to be the biggest developer of affordable homes in Gloucestershire and throughout the wider M5 corridor. We will continue to develop new homes across a wider area that also includes the West Midlands and West of England Combined Authority regions. In the period from 2023 to 2030 our goal is to build over 11,000 new homes.
We’re proud to be one of Homes England’s strategic partners, having received £240m to build 4,000 new affordable homes in the five years to the end of 2028-29. We also work in partnership with developers, land agents and local authorities to develop our new homes and are always open to new opportunities.

Our commitment to delivering modular housing will increase over the years ahead and will help us build more energy efficient and sustainable homes. A proportion of our grant funded homes will be provided through offsite construction as we inspire change and reduce our reliance on traditional building methods.
