  • Sutton Rise is a new development built by Bromford, consisting of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes in the town of Burntwood, Staffordshire.  

    Located just 4 miles from Lichfield, Burntwood is a great central location to reach the wider Midlands, with reasonable car journey times to Stafford (30 mins), Wolverhampton (30 mins), Sutton Coldfield (20 mins) and Birmingham (30 mins). Sutton Rise is well served by local amenities, with grocery stores, pubs, takeaways and petrol stations all closeby, as well as links to the M42 and M6.  

    There’s plenty of green space nearby too, with Chasewater Country Park 3 miles away. Centred around a 90 hectare reservoir, it offers extensive watersport activities including sailing, wakeboarding, water skiing and paddleboarding. For more gentle pursuits, Chasewater has plenty of activitis available. There are nature trails and bird watching, places for picnics and barbeques and extensive pathways for walking and cycling.  

    Burntwood has good bus connections to Cannock, Rugby and Lichfield as well as regular connections to Walsall and Brownhills, all towns within easy reach of Burntwood. A morning peak service also runs to Birmingham for commuters. The nearest train stations are Cannock (15 minutes by car) or Lichfield City (10 minutes drive). 

    Sutton Rise is well served by local schools, with Ridgeway Primary, Highfields Primary, Fulfen Primary and Chase Terrace Primary for infants and juniors. Chase Terrace Academy and Brownhills Ormiston Academy are the main secondary providers.

If you are interested in applying for a home at Sutton Rise, Burntwood, please follow the application process below.

  • Register with Help to Buy. If you have already done this please email your Help to Buy reference number to the Bromford Homes Sales Team in order for us to log your interest, or call us on 0800 0852 499.

  • The local area connection criteria varies between developments, but generally it’s based on:

    • Being a resident (or employed within) the area for a number of years (usually between 2-5).
    • Family connections – for example, parent, grandparent, child, grandchild or adult sibling – who have lived in the area for at least three years.

  • As part of the application process you are required to carry out an affordability assessment and provide documents to support the application, TMP Mortgages will carry out this initial assessment.

    • Visit TMP Mortgages' website:
    • Click the Apply now button
    • Complete the online questionnaire

    Your assessment will then be allocated to the correct person and an advisor will then make contact with you within 24 hours (not including weekends) they will discuss options with you and request documents required to complete the application. All documents must be provided to TMP within five working days.

  • Once you have completed all of Step 3, TMP will provide you with a reference number to show you have provided all the documents and that you meet the criteria for shared ownership. Keep this number safe and write it down along with your Help to buy reference.
