  • Park Gardens has 78 one and two bedroom, self-contained apartments, key features in all the properties include:

    • State-of-the-art emergency call system linked to a staff member 24 hours a day, every day, including Christmas.
    • Easy access kitchen with fitted hob and oven.
    • Extra wide doorways to enable mobility for wheelchair users.
    • Central heating and triple glazing to windows and double glazed patio doors. 
    • Traditional style front door with personal letter box.
    • Spacious entrance hall
    • Low surface temperature radiators
    • Electric power sockets set at convenient height.
  • Park Gardens has a range of facilities which
    include: -

    • Café/Bistro
    • Lounge
    • Fitness gym
    • Hairdressing and Beauty salon
    • Activity studio
    • Wellbeing room
    • Spa Bathroom
    • Landscaped gardens
    • Greenhouse
  • Onsite car parking is available on an allocated rental basis.

  • No, there are no garages.

  • Yes, your pet is welcome, provided that they are well-behaved and you are able to manage your pet’s requirements. They are not allowed in the café or lounge area. You would need to make full arrangements to have your pet cared for if you were unwell or away.

  • Yes care and support is available, as and when you need it. Care services can be tailored to your own individual needs and can be delivered in the comfort and privacy of your own home.

  • Access to Park Gardens is permitted through a secure double door which can only be opened by residents or staff. Residential areas are controlled by residents and staff, through secure doors.

    Residents have their own key fob which gives them access through the front and rear external doors. The same fob gives you access to the communal areas and this allows you personal access to your own property and access to the secure residential areas. The only other people able to gain access to the residential areas are staff and any visitor you choose to invite into your property.

    There is monitored CCTV providing added security around Park Gardens. There is a member of staff on site 365 days per year.

  • There are apartments to buy outright and, subject to affordability, apartments to buy through shared ownership. There are also apartments for rent.

    You may be eligible to receive benefits to support you with the cost of moving to Park Gardens.

  • Yes, you do have to pay council tax. The council will allocate the council tax charge for each property. Residents may be eligible to receive council tax benefit towards meeting these costs.

  • Yes. Once you have bought or rented your property you will be required to pay a weekly community charge and annual ground rent.

  • All residents need to pay a weekly community charge which covers the following costs:

    Service Charge.

    This covers the scheme manager and a facilities coordinator to look after the building plus fire alarms, fire equipment, CCTV, cleaning of communal areas, rubbish disposal, pest control, Wi-Fi in the communal areas, communal heating and lighting, external window cleaning, emergency lighting and Staff call service.

    Day to day maintenance of the communal areas, gardening and landscaping, repairs to the heating and lighting in your apartment, insuring the building, lift, door entry system and staff time for organising these services. 

    Wellbeing Charge.

    Costs associated with providing 24/7 on-site presence to respond to emergency situations and the arrangement of social events for everyone at Park Gardens.

    Building Insurance.

    This covers all areas of the building but not your personal contents.

    Utility Charge.

    This covers all electricity, gas and water charges for your own property.

    Please Note: Residents may be eligible to claim benefits to support their housing costs.

  • Yes, your family and friends of all age groups are welcome to visit you and stay in your property. There is no fixed length of stay although guests cannot remain indefinitely, or move into your apartment.

  • Yes, there is a guest suite and visitors are welcome to use them. A charge is payable for this. Speak to your sales advisor.

  • Properties in Park Gardens are available to anyone who is over the age of 55 when they move in.


    There may be some exceptions to this rule subject to agreement by the Allocations Panel.
