Our services at Christmas and New Year

The festive season is about to reach its peak and we’re sure you’re getting ready for the big day.

During Christmas and New Year, our offices will be closed from 2pm on 24 December 2014 until 1 January. We will be back open at 8am on 2 January 2015.

Bromford will still be around over the festive period but our services will be limited for emergencies only. Here’s what you need to know:

Emergency repairs

You can still report an emergency repair to us 24 hours a day, 7 seven days a week over Christmas and New Year. Emergency repairs are, for example:

  • No heating or hot water
  • No lights in your home
  • Burst pipes
  • Danger to life

Simply call 0330 1234 034 to report your repair. Calls are charged at a local rate number. When an engineer attends your home they will make the area safe. If any further work is required, an appointment will be booked for after 5 January.

Non emergency repairs

If your repair is not an emergency, you can still report to us via email:

Please be aware we may not be able to book in your repair until after we re-open. You may not receive an appointment date for your repair until the first week of January (w/c 5th January).

Anti-social behaviour

You can still report anti social behaviour to us by calling 0330 1234 034 or through the above. As with our repairs service, we may not be able to action these until week commencing 5 January 2015.

We don’t want to get involved with tit-for-tat arguments. Before you report an incident, could you try to resolve it yourself? Can you talk to the person so you can explain why you’re unhappy? You might be able to resolve the issue quickly.

If you feel that you’re being threatened or you’re in danger, we would recommend that you call the police. Keep a record of any incidents, obtain a crime reference number from your local police station and then report this incident to us.

Social media

Our social media channels will be available to you over the festive period but our service will be limited.

If you have an urgent or emergency query, you need to report these be calling 0330 1234 034. Due to our limited service, we would recommend that you do not post these on our social media. 

Our limited service on social media will mean:

  • Our responses may be delayed.
  • Any issues/queries/repairs reported may not be actioned until after 5 January 2015.
  • You will be contacted after 5tJanuary to be advised on any appointments or what will happen next for your query.

Into the New Year

We will be back open on Friday 2 January at 8am. However, we will be expecting our phone lines to be quite busy up until Tuesday 6 January. There may be a wait when you call us. If this is the case, we thank you for your patience and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.

If you need to speak to us but it isn’t urgent, save yourself time and report it to us through the different ways here.

Due to the high calls volumes we’re expecting at the start of the New Year our response may be slightly delayed than usual.
