We believe in providing homes that are safe, secure and warm, and regeneration gives us an opportunity to replace some of our poor quality homes with brand new, energy efficient ones.

We have a regeneration programme to replace some of our non-traditional homes. Generally these homes were built after the Second World War as a quick solution to the housing shortage. They were not built with a conventional brick or timber frame structure, but over the years have deteriorated in quality and have become increasingly expensive to heat, as well as suffering from issues such as damp and draughts, which is why we are looking to regenerate them and replace them with energy efficient homes fit for the 21st Century.

As this issue affects a number of our homes we have decided that one of the only options open to us would be to demolish some of these houses and replace them by building brand new energy efficient ones. At present we are carrying out regeneration in the areas below.
