With the cold weather on the way, we thought it was time to put together a page that you can use as a starting point to find all the information, tips and advice you might need to get through the winter months.

We've got a selection of handy, 'how to' videos covering things like checking your boiler and bleeding a radiator and you'll also find money and budgeting advice to help you through what can be an expensive time of year.

Winter can be a lonely time for many people so we've also added some ideas to help you get involved with community projects and meet new people.

Please keep an eye on our social media channels too where we'll be sharing news and events from individuals and organisations throughout the winter months.

Follow us Twitter @Bromford and like our Facebook page to keep up to date with everything that's going on.

As well as the ones above, we have a number of 'how to' videos covering things like how to isolate a leak, changing a fuse in a plug and what to do if you have a blocked sink - you can find them here. We have that many, we've spread them over two pages - here are the others.

We're regularly asked about gritting and grit bins so we've put together a guide for you - click here to find out more.

Frozen pipes can also be an issue - here's some advice about thawing them out that you might find helpful.

Your local council will have up-to-date information on things that can help you to stay warm, healthy and safe during winter. If you're not sure who your local council is, you can find out here.
