We have opened a new drop-in centre in Shrewsbury, which offers a range of support in areas including housing, understanding welfare reform, benefit entitlement and helping locals make the most of the community.

Taking place every Wednesday from 10am till 12pm at the Guildhall, Frankwell Quay, support workers are on hand to help.

Support worker, Margaret Roberts said: “This service has been set up in association with Shropshire Support Partnership and adds to our existing drop-ins across the county making a total of eight. We have been very pleased with the initial turnout and hope more people will come to us for help.

“Anyone can just drop in or appointments can be made prior to the day by calling 01743 242637. We can help with budgeting and social activities in the area and direct to other support services such as help with finding a job.”

Other drop-ins in the area include:

Beagle House, Shrewsbury every Friday between 10am and 12pm.

Monkmoor Road, Shrewsbury every Monday between 10am and 12.30pm.

Upton Lane, Shrewsbury. Two sessions every Friday between 10 and 12pm and 12pm and 2pm – one for housing and a workshop.
