Bromford is delighted to announce that we are finalists in two separate categories at the 2017 UK Housing Awards.

Sponsored by Inside Housing and dubbed the ‘most prestigious awards in the housing sector’, UKHA has shortlisted Bromford among the cream of the crop in our industry.

The first category we’ve been nominated in is ‘Outstanding innovation of the year’ for larger housing associations with over 20,000 stock. This is for our bold approach to testing and developing new services, and in particular the rollout of localities, which has put a new neighbourhood coach role at the heart of each community with the brief of getting to know each and every customer and working with them to achieve their goals or aspirations.

And Bromford’s innovative MyPlace model has also been recognised – and is now competing with five other HAs in the category of ‘An outstanding approach to meeting specialist housing needs’. MyPlace provide homes for life for people living with long-term conditions such as a learning or physical disability or individuals with a mental health need.

Bromford’s chief executive, Philippa Jones, said: “We believe that by offering the right home and building trusting relationships we can empower every one of our customers to achieve their individual goals.

“In the face of an ever-shrinking welfare state it’s essential to explore different ways of working with our customers to help build their resilience and their personal and community support networks. We’re thrilled that our forward-thinking approach has been recognised by the shortlisting panel.”

The winners will be announced at a ceremony at the Lancaster London Hotel on 26 April 2017.
