For the second year running, the Open College Network (OCN) has given high praise to Bromford Support on its training programme for support colleagues, saying there are NO quality improvements to make.
This recognition of excellence gives a great platform to roll the training out across all support workers, housing workers and project workers in Bromford Support.
Launched in 2010, 77 colleagues have now been through the programme which recognises that the vast majority of people join Bromford on the basis of their great attitude and transferable skills rather than prior experience of support work.
Wendy Stephens, Head of Bromford Support said: "Our services make a real difference to people and have a positive impact on our customers' lives. Ultimately, that's what we're all about - our customers and supporting them to be the best they can be.
"This is a great achievement for colleagues who have demonstrated the good practice undertaken in their daily work to build their portfolio of evidence."
Verifier comments from the OCN said: "Improvement in the construction of the portfolios and the quality of evidence provided since the course started is outstanding - well done team and learners." Other feedback on specific work said: "An excellent portfolio"; "Clearly demonstrates excellent working practices" and "Clear understanding and practical application."
