Bleeding radiators is easy when you know how! If you’re having radiator problems, the likeliness is that it your radiator needs bleeding. Grab your valve key and follow these simple steps to warmer radiators…

“This is how to bleed a radiator. If your radiator is warm at the bottom and cool at the top, you would need to bleed it from the side of the radiator. If it’s warm at the top and cooler at the bottom, you can’t bleed to radiator, you would need to give us a call.”

“To bleed your radiator, you need a bleed key which you can pick up at any local hardware store, and a piece of tissue or towel.”

“To bleed to radiator, put the tissue underneath the valve, insert the radiator key and open the valve. Once the air has purged from the radiator, you will then start to see water coming out of the valve, tissue to catch it and then turn the valve back off.”

“Once you have bled your radiators, and if you have a combination boiler, you will need to re-pressurise the boiler accordingly.
